In a new and exciting collaboration with the Hilton Hotel, we held our first Fairtrade Cocktail Masterclass at the stunning Marble Bar. Hosted by Gregoire Bertaud our guests were treated to a night of spirits tasting, canapés, cocktail tasting (and making!) and live music.
FAIR Spirits took the spotlight of the event as Gregoire explained the importance of Fairtrade and how we can take it upon ourselves to DRINK FOR GOOD. Our guests sniffed, held and even tasted some of the raw ingredients that go into FAIR products before trying the spirits themselves.
Head bartender at the Marble Bar, Michiel Carteus, captured deliciousness in a glass and wowed all with the fabulous Goji Spritz, Gin Gin Mule and Espresso Martini (see the recipes below). A few of our guests took it upon themselves to try their hand at mixology under his careful instruction – it turns out mixing a master cocktail might not be as easy as it seems!

The Noble Spirited
45ml FAIR Goji
15ml lemonade/soda water
Orange slice or mint
Fill a wine glass with ice
Add 45Ml of FAIR Goji
Add 15Ml of lemonade/soda water
Top up with Prosecco or Sparkling wine
Garnish with orange slice or sprig of mint
Gin Gin Mule
30ml FAIR Gin
15 ml sugar syrup
15 ml lime juice
Lightly muddle mint leaves with syrup and lime juice in cocktail shaker
Add FAIR Gin and fill with ice
Shake gently until chilled for about 10 seconds
Strain into a highball glass filled with ice
Add ginger beer and stir
Garnish with lime wedge, mint sprig or both.
30ml FAIR Vodka
30ml FAIR Café
10ml Sugar syrup
1 shot of espresso
3 Coffee beans
Pour FAIR Quinoa Vodka, FAIR Café, sugar syrup and a shot of espresso into cocktail shaker half filled with ice cubes
Strain into a Martini glass
Garnish with 3 coffee beans
